American Heart Association Hawai‘i Heart Walk

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, HEMIC Foundation proudly joined the community at Kapiʻolani Park for the Hawai‘i Heart Walk, supporting the American Heart Association’s mission to fight heart disease and stroke. 

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in Hawai‘i, as reported by the Hawai‘i State Department of Health, with cardiovascular disease responsible for approximately 3,700 deaths annually. 

Our team had a great time walking alongside friends, family, and coworkers. It was a day filled with smiles, sunshine, and a shared sense of purpose.  

With a fundraising goal of $1.125 million, teams across Hawai‘i showed incredible support, serving as an uplifting reminder of the power of community and compassion. Together, we helped raise awareness, celebrate survivors, and fund lifesaving research.
