For over 25 years, HEMIC has been dedicated to thought leadership, innovation and service. Consistent with our business model, HEMIC Foundation looks to dedicate its resources to support a broad range of needs within our community. The Foundation focuses on four key areas:
Arts & Culture
We support the arts, cultural projects and activities that encourage innovation in arts and science.
Education
We believe education improves the lives of children, their families and communities. We support programs designed to inspire Hawai`i's future leaders from pre-K through post-secondary education.
Human Services
We are commited to building stronger and healthier communities by improving human services and support systems, especially for those who need them most.
Health & Wellness
Because the people we serve are our neighbors and integral parts of our community, we believe that everyone should have access to care.
HEMIC Foundation was created to formalize and deepen our support of charitable efforts throughout the islands, to enable a nimble response to community needs and to be a trusted partner with our non-profit grantees.
The HEMIC Foundation is a non-profit foundation funded through HEMIC. Its organizational structure follows principles of good governance, effective control rights, and efficiency.
